Abstract
In general, a linearly polarized wave can be changed into an elliptically or circularly polarized wave by using a wave polarizer. However, adding an external polarizer will increase the size and complexity of the antenna. In this patent, a polarizer is directly integrated with the omnidirectional LP dielectric antenna by fabricating inclined slots on the dielectric, giving a very compact omnidirectional CP antenna.
