Prof. Dirk Pfeiffer, Chair Professor of One Health, was a Plenary Speaker at the “One Health and Outbreak Surveillance Symposium– Integrative Strategies against Infectious Disease Outbreaks” in Singapore on July 13, 2018. He gave a talk entitled “One Health Approach - A Holistic Perspective for an Ever More Complex Future” to industry players from human, animal and environmental health sectors as well as local research and academic institutions involved in animal and human disease control in Singapore.

Dr Ioannis Magouras recently joined the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health as Assistant Professor in Food Safety/Veterinary Public Health.


Prof. Reichel (Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences) attended the ‘QS World Class 2018’ meeting in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in April this year and gave an invited presentation on the setting up of a world-class, internationally credible veterinary school in Hong Kong.
