The Computing Services Centre (CSC) deployed a new authentication system on 14 June 2021. The new system contains additional security features to protect your CityU Electronic ID (EID) and enhance the user experience by supporting single-sign-on to many CityU applications. The extra security features include intelligent email notifications for login from new devices or locations and multi-factor authentication (MFA) support.
After the launch, you will be prompted with a new login screen when you sign in. As usual, please enter your “EID” and “password” to access the target system.

The new authentication system is providing service for the following systems:
- Microsoft 365 (Email, Teams, etc.)
- Google Workspace (@gapps.cityu.edu.hk)
- Canvas
- CityU Portal
- CityU Announcement Portal (CAP)
- CityU Scholars
- Room Booking System (Resource Booker)
- Facilities and IT Service Management Platform (ServiceNow)
- Linkedin Learning
- Adobe ID used in Adobe Creative Cloud & Adobe Document Cloud
- Gartner
- Zoom
- Enterprise Content Management (Laserfiche)
- Remote Desktop Gateway
- AIMS
- Grammarly
- VPN
- CityU Pay
- Oracle Financials (e-Business Suite)
