Research Assistant in the Department of Data Science (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. T/049/24]

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our Industrial AI research project. This position offers an excellent opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and industrial applications.

Project

1. Air Route Design for Unmanned Aerial System Traffic Management in Urban Environment
2. Aerospace System Prognostics and Health Management Model and Telemetry Task Optmization

Duties

1. Support the development and implementation of AI algorithms for industrial applications;
2. Assist in data collection, preprocessing, and analysis of industrial datasets;
3. Help maintain research documentation and experimental records;
4. Participate in regular research team meetings and project discussions;
5. Contribute to research publications and technical reports; and
6. Assist in laboratory and experimental setup.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should be currently pursuing or planning to pursue graduate studies. Strong programming skills in Python and C++, along with a basic understanding of machine learning concepts are essential. Good command of written and spoken English; excellent written and verbal communication skills; good analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to foster collaboration, demonstrate strong commitment, and work effectively under pressure; excellent communication, organization, coordination, and problem-solving skills; and proficiency in MS Office software are necessary.

Preference will be given to those with experience with embedded programming, deep learning and optimization models.
