Postdoc in the Department of Neuroscience (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. C/R/448/09]

 

Projects

  1. The Role of the Stress Granule Protein G3BP1 in Regulating Protein Synthesis and Dendritic Spine Maturation in Neuron
  2. Investigating Heterogeneity in the Transport of RNA Granules and Locations of Dendritic Protein Synthesis in Neuron


Duties

The appointee will lead the projects on RNA transport in neuron.  A combination of biochemical, cellular and molecular approaches will be employed.

Requirements

A PhD degree in molecular Biology / Biochemistry / Cell Biology / Neuroscience or related disciplines with no more than 3 years of experience after the award of a PhD degree.  Vast experience in biochemistry, cell culture, and/or molecular biology is required.  Strong background in biochemistry, neuroscience or cell biology is preferred.  Good command of written and spoken English; being highly motivated; strong passion about cell biology or neuroscience; ability of working independently as well as under a team are desirable.

Salary and Conditions of Service
