Research Assistant in the Department of Asian and International Studies (Appointment for 6 months) [Ref. C/R/401/09]

 

Project

"Caring for Carers": A Study of the Precarity-transnationality Nexus in the Life Course of Migrant Domestic Workers

Duties

  1. Conduct research on migrant domestic workers and Asian migration;
  2. Conduct survey and interviews; and
  3. Write field data reports.

 

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably a Master’s degree in social sciences with no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University;
  2. Relevant research experience;
  3. Good command of written and spoken English; and
  4. Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.

 


Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
