Postdoc/Research Assistant (2 posts) in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences (Appointment for 19 months) [Ref. C/R/400/09]

The Effectiveness of Experiential Learning Supported by a University in Enhancing Interest and Knowledge of Engineering and Improving STEM Education - RMGS

Duties

Conduct library search and literature review;
Liaise and co-ordinate with teachers, students and parents in the schools;
Design questionnaires for quantitative evaluation study;
Design research questions and interview guidelines for qualitative interviews, and conduct qualitative research analyses;
Assist in the collection of data and focus group/case study interviews;
Co-ordinate student helpers for input and transcription of data;
Conduct multivariate statistical analyses; and
Assist in writing the quantitative and qualitative research reports.

Requirements

A Master’s degree in Psychology/Social Work/Education or related social sciences disciplines; and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University.

Candidates with a PhD degree in Psychology/Social Work/Education or related social science disciplines and no more than 3 years of experience after the award of a PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Postdoc.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
