Project

Hunger-dependent Control of Olfactory Cortical Circuits Regulates Food-seeking Behavior

Duties

Carry out research activities for the Project.

Requirements

A PhD in Neurobiology/Engineering/Quantitative Science or related disciplines from an accredited university in Hong Kong or from the top 100 international institutions, with no more than 3 years of experience after the award of a PhD degree.  Candidates should have strong interest in deciphering neural circuits that contribute to state-dependent regulation of sensory perception and possess laboratory experience in biological sciences/engineering.  Good command of written and spoken English; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; self-motivation and strong work ethics are required.  Those with skills and experience in at least one of the following areas are encouraged to apply: deep-learning based analysis of videos, MATLAB/Python/Keras/TensorFlow, electrophysiology, optogenetics, electronics, and instrument building.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
