Part-time Postdoc/Part-time Research Assistant in the Department of Media and Communication (Appointment for 6 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. B/R/1143/09]

 

Projects

  1. A Longitudinal Study of Employee-organization Relationships and Organizational Citizenship Behavior
  2. A Study of Dialogic Communication and Employee-organization Relationships

 

Duties

Assist in conducting research and applying for research grants; draft research papers and grant proposals; search for relevant literature; analyze research data using statistical techniques (e.g. structural equation modeling); prepare manuscripts for publication; and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

A PhD degree in Communication or a related discipline with interests in public relations or new media research, and no more than 3 years of experience after the award of a PhD degree.

Candidates with a Master’s degree in Communication or a related discipline with no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University may be considered for appointment of Research Assistant. Current doctoral students / candidates specializing in Communication or a related field with interests in public relations or new media are preferred.

Candidates should have previous research experience, a demonstrated research record, excellent academic writing skill, and proficiency in English and computer skills. Good statistical skills and proficiency in Chinese are preferred.
