Research Assistant (2 posts) in the Department of Public Policy (Appointment for 12 months commencing from February 2022 with possibility of extension) [Ref. B/R/1116/09]

 

Project

“Fair, Green and Smart”: A Lab for Sustainable Development

Duties

For Post (1), the appointee will conduct research and produce high quality research outputs relating to Energy and Environment Law and Energy and Environment Policy.

For Post (2), the appointee will conduct research and produce high quality research outputs relating to ESG : Corporate Environmental, Social and Governance.

For two posts, they will also assist the Principal Investigator in editing research works; organize seminars and conferences, and other academic events; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

For Post (1), a PhD/Master's/Bachelor's degree in Law/Policy, preferably specialized in China’s energy and environment law and policy, and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University are required.  Preference will be given to candidates with training in China’s energy and environment law and policy, and excellent language skills.

For Post (2), a PhD/Master's/Bachelor's degree in Law and Public Policy/Economics and Finance/Environmental Studies, preferably specialized in sustainability and corporate environment management, and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University are required.  Preference will be given to candidates with training in sustainability, and excellent language skills.

For two posts, Project experiences and proficiency of English in both communication and academic writing are also required.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
