Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for Aerospace System Monitoring and Management
Conduct independent research, report progress and results, disseminate research findings via academic journals and conferences, collaborate with academic and industry partners and other team members, and undertake project management. Successful candidates will perform research using Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to solve challenges and exploit opportunities in aerospace system monitoring and management. Specific research topics include (1) data analytics of noisy multi-sensor data; (2) prognostic and health monitoring for spacecraft systems and ground stations; and (3) task planning for spacecraft control missions to improve efficiency and lower cost.
A PhD degree or equivalent in Data Science / Artificial Intelligence / Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Operations Research / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science, or a related subject from local universities or top 100 institutions worldwide (by QS, ARWU, or THE ranking) with no more than 3 years of experience after the award of a PhD degree. Applicants are expected to have strong background in one of the following areas: Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence / Operations Research and Optimization Techniques / Aerospace Engineering with relevant research experience and publication record. Strong problem solving ability, good writing and oral communication skills and good programming skills are desirable.
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
