Postdoc/Research Assistant (2 posts) in the Department of Computer Science (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. A/R/1166/09]

 

Project

Detecting Plagiarism in Photographed Answer Scripts

Duties

For the post of Research Assistant, the appointee will assist in developing web service for uploading images, calling backend API, and viewing the result.

For the post of Postdoc, the appointee will conduct research and development of deep learning algorithms for near duplicate detection and plagiarism detection in images; develop backend API for integration with web service.

Requirements

A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines and no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University.  Knowledge in web development, database management, and frontend design is required.

Candidates with a PhD Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines and no more than 3 years of experience after the award of a PhD degree may be considered for appointment as Postdoc. Knowledge in deep learning, computer vision, and machine learning is required.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
