State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution

Duties

Assist in project management, data processing, analysis and report writing; and carry out laboratory research works and research tasks related to sample pre-treatment, novel method development, and rapid detection of pathogenic bacteria from waters, as well as systematic comparison to current techniques and application to monitor pathogenic bacteria in different water environment.

Requirements

A PhD degree in Environmental Chemistry/Environmental Engineering/ Analytical Chemistry/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Environmental Toxicology or related disciplines with no more than 3 years’ experience after the award of a PhD degree.  The appointee should have a strong track record of publications in top international journals.  Good command of written and spoken English, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, being self-motivated and hardworking, a good team player, and ability to work independently in a mature manner are required.  Those with experience in investigating the pathogenic bacteria from waters, the using of sensor/PCR/sequencing-based technologies, and big data analysis using novel and integrative statistical or bioinformatics approaches are strongly encouraged to apply.
