Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Electrical Engineering [Ref. R/082/24]

Duties

  1. Provide assistance to undergraduate programme(s), including admissions, daily operation, study progress monitoring and advising, promotional and publicity exercises, final year projects, student orientation, engineering training, and tutoring scheme, etc.;
  2. Coordinate Student Tutoring Scheme and Student Societies;
  3. Coordinate data compilation for teaching assignments, timetabling, elective selection and servicing requirements;
  4. Coordinate admissions-related exercises and outreach activities;
  5. Coordinate matters related to publicity, social media, and branding initiatives;
  6. Provide logistical support for Graduation Ceremony, departmental events, career advising and soft skills development events, staff retreat, etc.; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 3 years’ of relevant working experience;
  2. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  3. Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
  4. Strong proficiency in computer software applications;
  5. A good team player with strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation;
  6. Being attentive to work details and task quality; and
  7. Ability to work independently under pressure.

Candidates with more than 6 years’ of relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
