Executive Officer II in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences [Ref. R/044/24]
Duties
Oversee the departmental research matters;
Manage the office spaces for research support staff, research students, departmental laboratories, and research centres;
Coordinate the departmental RAE exercise as well as impact and outreach activities;
Assist in Departmental reports management and coordination;
Organise and perform administrative work in setting up and maintaining essential operations of the departmental research centre;
Organise and conduct publicity activities for the department and the departmental research centre;
Work closely with stakeholders in the University as well as Research Partners, NGOs, and clients;
Manage the departmental website and E-filing system; and
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology/Accounts and Finance/ Communications/Business Management/Social Sciences or related disciplines;
Working experience in a research environment;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
Excellent organisational and communication skills with a strong sense of responsibility; and
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
