Executive Officer II in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences [Ref. C/913/09]

Duties

  1. Perform budget planning and financial management;
  2. Assist in office space management and relocation;
  3. Oversee the departmental website and e-filing system;
  4. Coordinate the departmental RAE exercise;
  5. Organise and perform administrative work in setting up and maintaining essential operations of the departmental research centre;
  6. Organise and conduct publicity activities for the department and the departmental research centre;
  7. Work closely with stakeholders in the University as well as Research Partners, NGOs, and clients; and
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology/Accounts and Finance/Business Management, or related disciplines;
  2. Extensive working experience in a research centre;
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  4. Excellent organisational and communication skills with a strong sense of responsibility; and
  5. Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
