Technical Officer in the Department of Electrical Engineering (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. A/R/1139/09]

 

Duties

Responsible for departmental safety issues. Main duties include to:

  1. Assist the departmental safety officer in preparing safety guidelines, rules and regulations, and enforcing compliance;
  2. Maintain and update safety records;
  3. Prepare safety reports and related technical documents; and
  4. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related disciplines, preferably with 2 years' working experience in laboratory safety;
  2. Good command of written and spoken English;
  3. Good communication skill and being self-motivated; and
  4. Ability to work under pressure and perform effectively in a team-based environment are required.
  5. Fresh graduates will also be considered.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

 

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
