Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Electrical Engineering [Ref. A/805/09]
Duties
Provide assistance and support to Research Degree programme, including admissions, daily administration, research student duty assignment and related training, student orientation, student study progress monitoring, postgraduate research seminars, and programme-related publications, etc;
Handle matters related to student exchange programmes, both inbound and outbound;
Coordinate data compilation for teaching assignments, timetabling, elective selection and servicing requirements;
Provide support to matters related to scholarships, programme accreditations and quality assurance;
Coordinate matters related to departmental website, publicity, social media, and branding;
Provide logistical support for Commencement, Student Orientation Day, exhibition, and undergraduate admissions-related activities;
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
Strong proficiency in computer software applications;
A good team player with strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation;
Being attentive to work details and task quality; and
Ability to work independently under pressure.
Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant working experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a written test.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
