Assistant IT Manager in the Enterprise Solutions Office [Ref. D/313/09]

 

CityU’s Enterprise Solutions Office (ESU) is responsible for implementing and managing the University’s central information systems, as well as integrating information technology into our users’ day-to-day operations to boost the overall efficiency of the University.

Duties

  1. Database administration, security and access control; capacity planning and performance tuning; creation, maintenance and monitoring of enterprise database within the University;
  2. Providing application support and resolving problems related to the enterprise database;
  3. Providing an application infrastructure for system development and operation in the department;
  4. Application system development; and
  5. Any other duties as assigned.



Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience;
  2. Solid experience in Oracle database administration and development with SQL, PL/SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery;
  3. Good analytical mind and interpersonal skills;
  4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese are required; and
  5. Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and Exadata is highly preferred.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
