Executive Officer I/II in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences [Ref. C/712/09]

 

Duties

  1. Administer academic programmes (including programme management and promotion);
  2. Provide secretarial support to programme leaders and programme committees;
  3. Provide secretarial support to Academic Conduct and Student Discipline Committee;
  4. Assist in direct/JUPAS admission exercises;
  5. Liaise with departments and units within and outside the University; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned.



Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in higher education sector.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good interpersonal and communication skills; good organizational planning and monitoring ability; mature and pleasant personality; and ability to work independently under pressure against tight schedules, and work effectively in a team-based environment are required.  Knowledge of and experience in committee servicing, programme management, and personnel matters are preferred.

Candidates with more than 5 years’ experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
