Clerical Officer in the Department of Management [Ref. B/673/09]

 

Duties

The appointee will assist a team of academic staff and Supervisory Executive Officer in different administrative duties. Main duties include to:

  1. Assist in the maintenance of Furniture Inventory Record, seating plan, refreshments, store rooms, reception counter and pantry;
  2. Assist in handling In/Out Mails, couriers, mailboxes, lockers and key box;
  3. Assist in the maintenance of Smartlock, central filing and web updates;
  4. Assist in the coordination of departmental annual party, retreat and student activities;
  5. Assist in hiring of Research Assistants;
  6. Assist in FO-related duties (e.g. petty cash, purchase requests, staff reimbursement, office supplies purchase, teaching cases/license purchase, student activities expenses/hospitality expenses handling, and subscription of newspapers & magazines);
  7. Assist in FMO-related duties (e.g. office relocation & set up, furniture disposal, UP & photocopy, and reprographic requests); and
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ relevant working experience;
  2. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  3. Excellent computer skills with sound knowledge of MS Office and data management (proficiency in Excel is a must);
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-servicing mindset;
  5. Strong sense of responsibility and attention to details; and
  6. Being a good team player with self-motivation, and the ability to work independently under tight schedules.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
