Clerical Officer I/II in the Global Engagement Office [Ref. B/524/09]



Reporting to the Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager of the Office, the appointee will be responsible for:

  1. Assisting in organizing outreach activities such as education fairs, conference participation, incoming delegation visits, overseas school visits, and image building events, etc.;
  2. Performing administrative support in relation to non-local student recruitment activities, internationalization programmes and student project management to promote campus internationalization;
  3. Assisting in website maintenance, management of the Office’s social media platforms and creation of engaging contents;
  4. Processing of student visa applications;
  5. Handling enquiries from prospective non-local students;
  6. Assisting with non-local student database management and maintenance; and
  7. Performing any other duties as assigned.


5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 2-3 years’ relevant working experience.  A Bachelor’s degree in Computing/Data and/or Information related disciplines is preferred.  High level of computer literacy; willingness to learn new software for database/information management; excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel; ability to perform analysis, compile data summary and create charts with minimal supervision; good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and good communication skills and team spirit are required.  Experience in database/information management and knowledge of analytics tools are preferred.

Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant working experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
