Technical Officer in the Department of Electrical Engineering (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. A/R/1138/09]

 

Duties

Responsible for laboratory teaching and infrastructure development. Main duties include to:

  1. Prepare laboratory materials for practical engineering training and microcontroller/FPGA courses at undergraduate level;
  2. Provide training to users and support laboratory teaching;
  3. Assist in infrastructure construction and installation, such as network cabling, access control system; and
  4. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Information Technology or related disciplines with 2 years' working experience;
  2. Good multitasking, interpersonal and problem solving skills; and
  3. Ability to work under pressure and perform effectively in a team-based environment are required;
  4. Knowledge of Raspberry Pi, Python programming, VHDL programming, assembly language and C programming is preferred.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
