Investigation of the Relative Prevalence of Common Tumors in Dogs and Cats in Hong Kong and Viral Etiology of Feline Nasal Lymphoma
The appointee will investigate the prevalence and aetiology of cancers affecting cats and dogs in Hong Kong. Duties include:
A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or a related discipline with no more than a total of 6 years of service at the University. A good working knowledge of molecular techniques (including PCR, qPCR), and sequencing, and competence with basic software packages (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required. The candidate should be able to perform molecular biology experiments (including PCR, western blotting, ELISA, and other standard techniques), and should be motivated, organised, a good communicator and team player. Candidates with skills in manuscript writing and scientific communication, as well as fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua, are preferred.
Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
