Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Sciences (Appointment for 24 months) [Ref. C/R/164/09]

 

Project

Unraveling the RhpRS-mediated Signaling Pathway of Type III Secretion System in Pseudomonas Syringae

Duties

Carry out research work (including bacterial pathogenesis/antibiotic resistance, microbial bioinformatics, and plant pathology) for the Project.

Requirements

A PhD in Microbiology/Bioinformatics/Plant Pathology from top ranking universities, with no more than 3 years’ postdoctoral experience.  Good command of written and spoken English; strong knowledge of microbiology (specializing in bacterial pathogenesis and antibiotic resistance, bioinformatics and plant pathology), with publications in well-known life sciences journals as first-author are required.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
