Service learning is one of the key pillars in Student Development Services (SDS)’s services. It bridges CityUHK students with the community via an array of extra-curricular service-learning experiences, enriching students’ educational experience and whole-person development at CityUHK.
To deepen community involvement and learnings among students, a Gateway Education (GE) Course (GE1229 Community Service Engagement) has been introduced in the Semester A of 2024/25 as an elective course offered in collaboration between the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences and the Community Engagement Programme (CEP) of SDS.
SDS is seeking to hire for a professional to explore a wider variety of service opportunities and to cultivate new partnerships with NGOs, while enhancing pre- and post-service guided reflective learning in consolidating their learning and developing an understanding of the principles and ethics of community engagement and volunteerism.
