Deputy Director in the Development Office [Ref. R/133/25]

To further strengthen private funding support for the University’s fast-growing and strategic development, the University is seeking an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional to take on a leadership role in the Development Office, which operates under the leadership of the Associate Vice-President (Development).

Duties

Reporting to the Director (Development Office), the appointee will play a key role in raising donations for the University from individual prospects and corporations, including those in Mainland China, and coordinate related fundraising efforts. S/he is expected to take a proactive approach to develop fundraising strategies, identify and cultivate prospects, solicit donations, and organise stewardship activities. S/he will also work closely with the University’s senior leaders to cultivate donor relationships and drive major donations.

Requirements

  1. A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree, with at least 12 years’ solid and relevant specialist experience;
  2. Strong connections with industries and businesses, and good knowledge of Hong Kong’s tertiary education;
  3. Strong communication and leadership skills with outstanding organising ability; and
  4. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required.
  5. Preference will be given to candidates who have sound credentials in fundraising for education or philanthropic purposes.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
