Communications Manager in the Communications and Institutional Research Office [Ref. R/117/25]

Duties

  1. Lead the development and design of high-impact promotional materials (such as brochures, advertorials, and social media content) for both print and digital channels, ensuring alignment with CityUHK’s vision;
  2. Oversee and enhance corporate communications materials, driving continuous improvement to reflect institutional goals and meet stakeholder expectations;
  3. Strategise and manage content calendars across multiple platforms, monitoring and analysing communication outcomes to optimise reach and effectiveness;
  4. Foster collaboration with internal departments and external partners to create compelling and cohesive content;
  5. Support communication projects by providing expertise and assistance to ensure successful execution; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing or a related discipline;
  2. At least 10 years of post-qualification work experience in communications, public relations, or in related areas of work, including 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity;
  3. Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  4. Proficiency in managing social media platforms, content creation tools, and multimedia production;
  5. Being a strong, proactive, and collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the capability of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; and
  6. Being self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines are required.
  7. Experience in premium or gift sourcing would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
