Executive Officer I/II in the Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies [Ref. R/113/25]
Duties
City University of Hong Kong is a forward-looking global university with a well-earned reputation as an innovative hub for research and professional education. The Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies plays a pivotal role in postgraduate education and we work together with departments, colleges and schools to achieve the University’s goals. To support our expansion and growing initiatives, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented candidate to support the School's daily operations and contribute to new projects. You will:
- Support publicity and marketing efforts to enhance postgraduate student diversity and strengthen partnerships with overseas institutions;
- Assist with the drafting and vetting of collaborative agreements with global partner institutions;
- Organise and attend business trips to the Mainland and overseas when needed;
- Collect, extract, and manage data from various sources; analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights using statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming skills;
- Create reports and visualisations to effectively communicate data-driven findings to key stakeholders;
- Support the planning and execution of postgraduate student experience programmes and activities, both online and in-person;
- Contribute to initiatives and activities aimed at enhancing professional development and services for researchers and postgraduate students; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A good honours degree with at least 5 years’ relevant post-qualification work experience, including international business travel and solid customer service experience, with the ability to handle complex cases;
- Training or prior experience in survey design, data analysis, and reporting;
- Experience in collaborative agreement drafting and vetting;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and English writing skills are essential; proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage;
- A self-starter who enjoys hands-on work related to postgraduate education, with a resourceful, responsible, and flexible mindset, capable of working independently and under pressure; and
- A proven track record in tertiary institutions, particularly in graduate education and international student recruitment, would be a strong advantage.
Candidates with more than 7 years’ experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer I.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
