Assistant Communications Manager in the Communications and Institutional Research Office [Ref. R/109/25]
Duties
Maintain good relationships with the media and stakeholders, prepare lines-to-takes for media and/or stakeholders’ enquiries, and closely monitor media coverage of the University;
Develop internal and external communications materials (such as research stories, University announcements, newsletters, press releases, webstories, speeches and presentations for senior management) in alignment with the mission and vision of the University;
Assist in media event management;
Assist in managing and monitoring social media platforms and creating innovative contents; and
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus relevant professional/postgraduate qualification;
At least 7 years of solid post-qualification experience in related areas of work;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
Being a good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
Being self-motivated and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Good knowledge of the good practices, culture and development of the higher education sector is preferred.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
