Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Media and Communication [Ref. R/012/25]

Duties

  1. Coordinate local and overseas outreach activities, such as school talks, campus visits, study tours, visiting programmes etc.;
  2. Provide assistance and support to departmental website, publicity, social media and branding;
  3. Assist in updating promotion materials;
  4. Organise department events such as conferences/symposiums, seminars and competitions;
  5. Provide logistical support for Commencement, Student Orientation Day, JUPAS Consultation Day etc;
  6. Coordinate taught postgraduate programme admissions and events support;
  7. Provide clerical support to research-related matters;
  8. Liaise with departments and units within and outside the University; and
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

The appointees will be required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

  1. 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 6 years’ working experience;
  2. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  3. Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  4. Being mature, self-motivated and possessing a strong teamwork personality;
  5. Strong sense of responsibility and attention to details;
  6. Ability to work independently and under tight schedules;
  7. Proficiency in using MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and
  8. Knowledge of Photoshop and MS Access would be an advantage.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer II.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
