Executive Officer II in the Knowledge Transfer Office [Ref. R/010/25]

Duties

The appointee is expected to provide administrative support to the Office relating to intellectual property (IP) administration including:

  1. Manage the IP database administration system;
  2. Consolidate IP data for reporting and analysis;
  3. Review new invention documents at initial stage;
  4. Lead new invention assessment meetings;
  5. Documentation of patent application;
  6. Support Technology Transfer Officers in aspects of patent application;
  7. Lead patent further conversion and renewal processes;
  8. Support patent budget review from time to time;
  9. Handle invoices and payments to suppliers on time;
  10. Support audit, supplier tender processes, and digitisation project;
  11. Supervise clerical officer and/or student helpers;
  12. Coordinate PRC staff for patent applications in the PRC; and
  13. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience; excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good computer skills (particularly MS Excel and PivotTable); good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills; be self-motivated and multi-tasking; and ability to work independently under pressure and within tight deadlines are required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
