Executive Assistant I/II in the Office of Vice-President (Development and External Relations) [Ref. D/362/09]

 

Duties

The appointee will be a member of the event team of the Office, supporting the organisation of events and programmes for fundraising, cultivation and stewardship purposes.  Major duties include organising a full range of event logistics (such as liaison with internal and external parties, guest invitation, production of event materials, catering and transportation arrangements, and venue set up); handling financial matters and inventory maintenance; assisting in office administration; and performing any other duties as assigned. 

Irregular working hours may be required.

Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience in event management and public relations.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good teamwork and interpersonal skills; attention to details; ability to work independently and under pressure against tight schedules; a strong sense of responsibility and computer literacy in English and Chinese word-processing, Excel, PowerPoint and Access are required.  Relevant working experience in organising large-scale events in sizeable organisations and applying design software (such as Photoshop and Illustrator) would be an advantage. 

Candidates with more than 6 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
