Senior IT Manager (Security) in the Office of the Chief Information Officer [Ref. D/309/09]

 

Duties

  1. Take the leadership role in Information Security for the entire university;
  2. Oversee certification, compliance and Information Security policies and guidelines;
  3. Provide direction and management of security-related matters;
  4. Assess security risks for application and infrastructure design in existing infrastructure and new projects;
  5. Work with infrastructure, operation and application teams to improve overall information security posture;
  6. Align information system security with prevailing Data Privacy Protection policies;
  7. Define policies for security configurations team on security devices such as firewall, UEBA, privileged access, etc.;
  8. Act as Security Incident Manager to handle security incidents, breaches, or violations;
  9. Monitor the SLA of SOC and continuously improve the security incident playbooks; and
  10. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  1. A Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies/Information Systems or related disciplines, with at least 12 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience;
  2. Certification in ITIL 3/4 Foundation or above;
  3. Technical knowledge of firewall, IPS/IDP, security event management, IGA, etc.;
  4. Proactive and well organized team player with good time management skills and ability to work independently;
  5. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization;
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  7. Fluency in English and Cantonese are required; and
  8. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, and CEH are preferred.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
