Executive Officer I/II in the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences [Ref. C/780/09]

 

Duties

  1. Provide administrative support for Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) programme offered by the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC);
  2. Support problem-based learning in the overall programme management, delivery of curriculum and assessment activities;
  3. Handle and manage programme documents, policies and guidelines, annual report, student handbook and website;
  4. Handle BVM assessment, peer review, teaching feedback and student survey;
  5. Oversee BVM class timetable;
  6. Handle BVM student activities/events including Information Day, JUPAS Consultation Day, Undergraduate Open Day, Freshmen Orientation, Leadership Camp and Get-together events;
  7. Handle students’ scholarship and awards;
  8. Provide administrative and secretarial support for the College’s committees/meetings;
  9. Provide executive support to programme accreditation; and
  10. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree in Business Management/Social Science or related disciplines, with at least 7 years’ relevant post-qualification executive experience.  Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good interpersonal, technical, analytical and critical thinking skills with a flexible and creative approach to problem solving; and ability to work independently to meet tight timelines are required.  Prior experience in tertiary education institutions would be an advantage.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
