Executive Officer II in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences [Ref. C/749/09]

 

Duties

  1. Oversee and administer student development for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes;
  2. Organise departmental functions;
  3. Coordinate co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, such as student exchange, study tours, Student Chapter, student internships, career talks and service learning activities;
  4. Coordinate scholarship matters;
  5. Assist in alumni relationship and network development;
  6. Liaise with departments and units within and outside the University; and
  7. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

A Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in the higher education sector.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) with good interpersonal and communication skills; good organisational, planning and monitoring ability; possession of a mature and pleasant personality; ability to work independently under pressure against tight schedules, and effectively in a team-based environment are required.  Knowledge of and practical experience in committee servicing, programme management, and personnel matters are preferred.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
