Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences [Ref. C/697/09]

 


Duties

  1. Provide support to research grants applications and research related activities;
  2. Handle ethical review and research support appointments;
  3. Perform electronic filing;
  4. Assist in updating departmental webpages and social media platforms;
  5. Assist in departmental publications and promotion; and
  6. Handle enquiries and perform any other duties as assigned.



Requirements

  1. 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 6 years’ relevant working experience;
  2. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  3. Excellent computer skills with sound knowledge of MS Office and data management (proficiency in Excel is a must);
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-servicing mindset;
  5. Strong sense of responsibility and attention to details; and
  6. Being a good team player with self-motivation, and the ability to work independently under tight schedules.


Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer II.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
