Executive Officer in the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Technology) (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. B/R/1226/09]

Duties

The appointee will support the daily operation of the Office of the Vice-President (Research and Technology) and Chinese Mainland Affairs Office (CMAO).

  1. Provide administrative support to the Office of VPRT in the overall operation;
  2. Provide administrative support for Office’s committees/meetings;
  3. Assist in planning and implementation of activities and events;
  4. Liaise with internal and external parties to maintain good working relationship; and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Occasional travels to Shenzhen and other Mainland cities may be required.


Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ post-qualification administrative experience, preferably in the higher education sector. Strong sense of responsibility; ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure; being self-motivated with strong analytical and critical thinking skills; good communication, presentation, organisational and interpersonal skills; and excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required.  Work experience in Mainland affairs would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
