Clerical Officer II/Clerical Assistant in the Department of Information Systems (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. B/R/1217/09]

 

Duties

  1. Provide administrative and clerical support to academic programmes and courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and inbound and outbound student exchange matters.
  2. Handle inquiries from students, parents, and staff (walk-in, by phone, or by email) on academic programmes and courses; and
  3. Carry out housekeeping tasks in the departmental general office and perform other assigned or ad hoc duties (e.g., conferences and research workshops).

 

The appointee may be required to work flexible hours on Saturdays.

Requirements

  1. 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ working experience;
  2. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  3. Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  4. Being mature with teamwork personality and self-motivation;
  5. Strong sense of responsibility and attention to details;
  6. Ability to work independently and under tight schedules; and
  7. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing) required.
  8. Knowledge of Photoshop and MS Access preferred.

 

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Assistant.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
