Project Officer in the Student Development Services (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. B/R/1204/09]

 

Project

Support for Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Duties

Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Development Services (Counselling), the appointee will be required to:

  1. Handle administrative works related to the UGC special grant for SEN students;
  2. Update the SEN and UGC documents peridoically; and keep the data systematically and accurately;
  3. Plan, implement and evaluate trainings, workshops, and activities for staff and students on SEN awareness and knowledge;
  4. Plan, implement and evaluate large-scale inclusive campaigns (including the IDEA campaign);
  5. Procure and obtain quotations for professional services and other community services/trainings;
  6. Liaise with the professional service providers on the training arrangements and related matters; and
  7. Perform any other duties or projects as assigned.

 

The appointee will be also required to work flexible hours and lead student local/overseas tour(s) on a need basis.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Social Sciences/Social Work or related disciplines with at least 2 years’ working experience;
  2. Abundant knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  4. Effective and mature interpersonal and communication skills with strong sense of responsibility;
  5. High self-motivation and ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision; and
  6. Pleasant and positive work attitude with good teamwork spirit are required.
  7. Experience in supporting students with SEN; coordinating training programmes, project management, or mass events related to SEN would be an advantage.

 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
