Clerical Officer I in the College of Business [Ref. B/672/09]

Duties

  1. Provide administrative support to the Administration & Development Team and secretarial support to the Director of Administration;
  2. Coordinate the annual budget exercise and annual personnel review exercise for academic staff;
  3. Assist in accreditation, quality assurance and other administrative matters;
  4. Provide logistical support for College meetings and functions;
  5. Handle information flow and maintain an effective record and filing system;
  6. Serve as a liaison between the College Office and its line departments, and maintain cordial relations between the Office and a wide spectrum of internal and external parties and stakeholders; and
  7. Work on special projects and any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 6 years of relevant administrative/secretarial experience, preferably in tertiary education;
  2. Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated, and attention to details;
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  4. Good interpersonal, communication, organisational and coordination skills;
  5. Ability to work independently and in a team, and perform multi-tasks within tight deadlines;
  6. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner; and
  7. Willingness to work beyond normal office hours when necessary.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
