Executive Officer I/II in the Student Development Services [Ref. B/639/09]

 

Duties

The Student Development Services is looking for dedicated professionals to plan, manage and develop programmes for Student Hub and Student Centrum.  The appointees will be responsible for:

  1. Planning and organising programmes, talks and activities for the Student Hub and Student Centrum to create a dynamic and harmonised ambience on the university campus;
  2. Providing and managing amenity facilities and equipment for the Student Hub and Student Centrum;
  3. Planning and organising regular focus groups with individual students to introduce university policies and obtain student feedback; arranging meetings and communicating with student leaders of the Student Council and student groups;
  4. Promoting student success stories;
  5. Giving advice and support to students/student groups in the organisation of student activities to project a unique and dynamic ambience at the Student Hub and Student Centrum;
  6. Managing website and social media platforms to promote student engagement and participation; and
  7. Performing any other duties as assigned.


The appointees will be also required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree;
  2. Relevant working experience in related fields, preferably in higher education or youth work;
  3. Working knowledge of computer applications;
  4. Outgoing personality and ability to communicate with young people;
  5. Good problem-solving skills, being resourceful and self-motivated; and
  6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
