Information Technology Officer I/II in the Department of Media and Communication [Ref. B/636/09]

 

Duties

  1. Provide a full scope of computer hardware and software support;
  2. Manage computer, audio/visual and peripheral equipment inventory;
  3. Update and maintain departmental networks, websites and social media accounts;
  4. Provide administrative and operational support for teaching-related activities;
  5. Manage the operation of the technical service counter for equipment loan and return; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or relevant disciplines, with at least 6 years’ post-qualification working experience in managing computer operation and network systems, preferably in educational settings;
  2. Good interpersonal and communication skills with a strong sense of responsibility; and
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are required.
  4. Good knowledge of multimedia and skills in audio/visual equipment is preferred.


Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Information Technology Officer II.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
