Executive Officer in the Student Development Services [Ref. B/506/09]

 

Duties

Reporting to the Associate Director (Student Life and Resources), the appointee will be responsible for:

  1. Planning and organizing student development programmes, activities and special projects to support and enhance student learning;
  2. Providing advice, support and training to Students’ Union, student societies and student groups;
  3. Serving as the Secretary for Student Orientation Working Group, coordinating the welcoming ceremony, orientation activities for new students, and the Student Orientation website;
  4. Coordinating the IT projects and providing support for SLR websites and social media;
  5. Liaising with different stakeholders for student development activities/programmes; and
  6. Performing any other duties as assigned.


The appointee will be also required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably with a postgraduate qualification;
  2. Relevant working experience in related fields, preferably in higher education or youth work;
  3. Working knowledge of computer applications;
  4. Outgoing personality and ability to communicate with young people;
  5. Good problem solving skills, being resourceful and self-motivated; and
  6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
