Executive Officer in the Student Development Services [Ref. B/501/09]

 

Duties

  1. Coordinate with all academic units and maintain University internship records for reporting;
  2. Liaise with government organizations and corporate recruiters for local, mainland and overseas internship and work placement opportunities;
  3. Plan and conduct employability enhancement programmes specializing in business orientation for junior-year students;
  4. Provide support in the organization of recruitment talks, employers’ sharing, career fairs, and other career-related events;
  5. Provide career guidance and advice to students’ group for conducting career development activities to CityU students; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned.


The appointee is required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with relevant working experience, preferably in community service, business and education sectors.  Possession of a postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), working knowledge of software applications (especially in Excel and data management), dynamic personality and good people skills at all levels are required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
