Clerical Officer I/II in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (Appointment up to 30 June 2024) [Ref. A/R/1225/09]

Duties

  1. Provide support to academic programme administration including programme promotion, student admission, class scheduling, teaching and examination arrangements;
  2. Assist in organising departmental events;
  3. Provide clerical support to the General Office;
  4. Maintain departmental records; and
  5. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 2 years’ working experience, preferably in coordinating and organising events.  Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese); effective interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team; and proficiency in computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word-processing) are required.

Candidates with more than 6 years’ experience may be considered for appointment as Clerical Officer I.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
