Executive Officer II in the Department of Electrical Engineering (Appointment for 12 months) [Ref. A/R/1218/09]

 

Duties

  1. Provide secretarial support to the Head of Department and handle all his incoming correspondence;
  2. Manage the daily schedule and travel arrangements for the Head of Department;
  3. Assist in departmental personnel matters (such as recruitment activities, personnel review exercises, and other human resources functions) and academic related matters (such as quality assurance exercises and accreditation visit);
  4. Provide support in departmental duty visits, overseas academic exchange, and promotional/outreach/admission-related activities;
  5. Assist in the implementation of publicity initiatives and brand building of the Department; and
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
  2. At least 3 years of relevant working experience (Candidates with less experience may be considered);
  3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  4. Strong proficiency in computer software applications;
  5. Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
  6. Good competence in performing complex administrative duties and coordinating with different stakeholders;
  7. Being a good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and attention-to-details; and
  8. Ability to work independently and under pressure.

 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
