Supervisory Executive Officer in the School of Data Science [Ref. A/548/09]

 

Duties

  1. Provide a full range of professional services on matters pertinent to the development of the School as well as its staffing, teaching and research matters;
  2. Provide executive support to the Dean in the daily operation of the General Office and to lead a team of administrative and IT staff;
  3. Assist the Dean in major planning and new University/School initiatives;
  4. Provide support to the Dean in executing University and School policies;
  5. Administer staffing and human resources matters of the School including recruitment, annual personnel reviews, performance reviews, leave management, etc.;
  6. Assist in budget/financial planning, and procurement and resources management;
  7. Serve as Secretary to the School Board, School Executive Committee, School Staffing Committee, School Performance Assessment Committee, School Space Committee and/or other task forces as assigned; and
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with not less than 10 years’ solid relevant experience and a proven track record of competence.  Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); a strong sense of responsibility and commitment; a strategic mind-set with good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills; multi-task oriented, great leadership and interpersonal skills with proven supervisory experience are required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
