Editor in the Research Grants and Contracts Office [Ref. A/525/09]

 

Duties

Edit research proposals and publications; prepare presentation/promotion materials; assist the Director and senior management on academic related editorial activities; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Language/Translation/Literature or related disciplines with at least 5 years’ solid experience in writing/editing related work.  High proficiency in written and spoken English at native level, with some knowledge of Cantonese/Putonghua; excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills; and ability to work closely with researchers are required.  Experience in scientific/academic publications and research funding applications is preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
