Clerical Officer I in the Student Development Services [Ref. B/655/09]

 

Duties

Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Development Services (Student Life and Resources), the appointee will be responsible for:

  1. Providing support in the planning and implementing the university-wide cultural and arts programmes (including CityU Arts Festival, CityU Musical, Secondary School Distinguished Artwork Exhibition, mini concerts and performances);
  2. Administering and liaising with student groups and conductors on daily operations, annual proposals, and venue bookings for regular practices and performances;
  3. Preparing finance-related documents (including budgets, purchase requisitions, payment and financial reports);
  4. Assisting in the administrative and logistics support for the Student Activities Team and Student Life and Resources Section; and
  5. Performing any other duties as assigned.


The appointee will be also required to work flexible hours on a need basis.

 

Requirements

  1. 5 passes in HKCEE/HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 6 years’ working experience;
  2. Being mature, well-organised, detail-oriented with problem-solving skills;
  3. Outgoing personality and ability to communicate with young people;
  4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  5. Working knowledge of computer applications are required.
  6. Experience in university administration is preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.

 

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
